Services

I believe that the best outcomes in physical rehabilitation, training, and wellness can only be achieved if the client and I are a match. Therefore, all prospective clients are invited to schedule a free 15-20 minute phone consultation with me to share your physical therapy and/or fitness goals and to determine if I am truly the right provider for you. From there, you will have private sessions that are held at your home or other location of your choosing in order to increase convenience and to be able to make real-world recommendations based on your space and belongings. If your prefer, a private therapeutic treatment space is available.

Areas of Expertise

  • Complex medical histories - My integrated approach to physical therapy, incorporating aspects of orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, and oncology rehabilitation is ideal for clients with complex health histories who want to stay active, pain/injury free, and strong.

  • Auto-immune disorders - Joint pain, fatigue, chronic pain, and weakness are common in many auto-immune disorders, including multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and lupus. Physical therapy can decrease symptoms during flare ups, recovering lost function due to an exacerbation, and building strength & resilience during remission.

  • Vestibular diagnoses - vertigo, dizziness, dysequilibrium can all be safely addressed through vestibular rehabilitation. The convenience of home visits also means a dizzy client does not need to worry about symptoms during travel to a clinic.

  • Amputee care - I have experience working with amputees from their post-operative recovery to learning to walk with a new prosthesis to managing chronic pain or injuries related to limb loss. I enjoy collaborating with prosthetists and have a special interest in adaptive sports.

  • Oncology rehabilitation - Surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy all have negative effects on physical strength, endurance, mobility, and function. Physical therapy can increase resilience when performed before cancer treatments ("pre-hab"), mitigate the negative physical effects during cancer treatment, and promote recovery of physical function after cancer treatment.

  • Neurologic rehabilitation - With post-stroke or brain injury rehabilitation, my emphasis is on promoting neuromotor recovery of lost function and enhancing participation in physical function and activity. With neurodegenerative diagnoses such as Parkinson's Disease, my emphasis is on prevention of decline through high intensity and dynamic exercise.

  • Orthopedic injury and post-operative recovery - Evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries is the core of my physical therapy training. Whether the injury was caused by repetitive strain, overuse, or trauma, I integrate the physiology of tissue healing, biomechanics, pain science, and movement analysis to promote tissue healing and recovery of functional strength & resilience.

  • Long COVID - Sometimes referred to as post-acute sequelae SARS-CoV2 infection, or PASC, long COVID affects approximately 10% of people who contract COVID-19 and presents with a wide diversity of symptoms. If you haven't been feeling quite back up to speed even months after having COVID-19, physical therapy can facilitate stabilization and improvement of symptoms like fatigue, breathlessness, dizziness, and brain fog.

My goal is to provide a personalized, authentic, and meaningful physical therapy & training experience that is build on trust & commitment to a common purpose - enhancing your physical well-being!
